..is a small family run kennel situated at the foothills of the Ozark Mountains. With the Black River passing through our 400+ acres, we have ample room for our dogs to exercise and live active lives.
At Black River I live a somewhat unconvential life; and I do not appoligize for it. I have not chosen either of the two conventional methods of running a breeding program; one centered on the show ring and the other centered on the profit. I have set one goal for this endeavor; to breed strong healthy functional specimens of the bullmastiff that are true to the original intent of the breed. |

From years of affliation with the Humane Society, I have experienced first hand the unethical practices of exploiting animals for profit. Due to this; I vowed from the begining that my establishment would be designed around the desire of happy live's for all involved! |
At Black River Bullmastiffs, because I love and admire my bullies, I seek to utilize my kennel for the betterment of the breed; insuring a humane and happy enviroment of each dog in my care. |
I have designed my p ens to be approx. an acre or more in size, to give plenty of room to romp around and play. All pens have ample shade and a kiddy pool, for bullies love a splash and play in the water. Each dog has a buddy, another bully, which they get along with so they are never lonely; because all bullies are extremely social creatures. every day. Everyone is rotated into the house, where they are treated to a bath. |

Lady Sive is fiercly possesive of Jamie. Sive runs the show at Black River; she is busy keeping everyone in line. She is also a favorite amoung all the others, because she knows how to play. |

She enjoys a good challenge, always observing her peers style of wrestling, she then adapts her method and then shocks her apponent as she puts them down. Sivey is just a good time momma as she loves to play, chase walnuts, swim, wrestle with her peers and attempt to nurse any puppy. She is full of slobbery kisses looking for any opportunity to sneak one in on you. |

Gideon is master to my eldest son Zollie, or is it our oldest son is master to Gideon? That is a question yet to be answered. Both are extremely laid back and mellow, with a side of stubbornness only equalled by the other.

Ailish, is buddy to my second son. The two of them are free spirits, and as they see it, the world revolves around them; I defy anyone to tell them differently. If you baby talk to “Aili baby”, she will dance to the tune. |

Caoimhe is developing into a beautiful young lady; Amazon lady that is. She is our largest female, and yet she is gentle as can be and good thing because her master is no Amazon. . |
